Richy Hughes

Richy is an Olivier nominated, multi award-winning lyricist, book writer and theatre maker.

​

Richy has been writing parodies of well-known pop songs since his school days. He published a few of these on YouTube and quickly amassed over half a million hits. 

 

In 2012 Richy joined The BML Workshop in London to hone his lyric writing craft.  This weekly workshop introduced him to industry professionals and practitioners, including some of his musical theatre heroes, setting him on the path towards a professional writing career.

 

He is a father of two and a husband of one.
