THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND

Based on the inspiring true story of William Kamkwamba, an ingenious 13-year old Malawian farm boy.

When poverty forces him to drop out of secondary education, William spends his days poring through old science textbooks, and scavenging the local scrapyard for components with which to build a wind turbine.

William lifts his village out of famine, breaking their cycle of reliance upon the rains and, in doing so, enabling them to look beyond the end of each day towards an empowered future.
